Q. What am I committing to?
A. You’re committing to 45 days of meditation, journal prompts, 30 minutes of daily movement, elimination of a vice of your choosing, more rest, and improved nutrition.
Q. Is this a diet/ weigh loss program?
A. Absolutely NOT! All bodies and foods fit! Commit 45 is a lifestyle adjustment to improve your mental health.
Q. Is this a good replacement for therapy or medical and/or psychiatric care?
A. No! All recommendations of your care team supersede this program. However, Commit 45 is a great supplemental tool.
Q. Do I HAVE include the social media fast?
A. Yes, but there are accommodations and work arounds for professions that require social media engagement. For everyone else, we promise you’ll enjoy the break from social media!

Hi, I’m Lindsey Sheckles MAE, LPC
I am a licensed therapist in Huntsville, AL. and creator of Commit 45.
I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Masters of Arts and Education in Counseling, with a concentration in marriage and family therapy from Western Kentucky University.
In addition to my formal education I am a certified yoga, reformer pilates, and barre instructor. Most recently I have earned a certification in therapeutic yoga. The combination of specialized training, and over a decade of career experience as a therapist have culminated in the creation of Commit 45. I have worked diligently to empower people to create a life of contentment, even when there are bumps in the road. I am especially passionate about removing the stigma in seeking mental health services, and educating others about resources available to them.
